Disclaimer
General information only
MIND CRON publishes journalism for general information. We report what happened, who said it and where the document came from, across world news, business, technology, science, sports, entertainment, lifestyle, travel, auto and gaming. Nothing on the site is professional advice, and nothing on it is written with your particular circumstances in mind, because we do not know them and a general-news article cannot.
A report about a court ruling is not legal advice about your situation. A story about a new rule is not guidance about your file, your employer or your visa. Coverage of a health development is not a diagnosis. We are a newsroom, not your lawyer, doctor, accountant, mechanic or travel agent, and reading us is not a substitute for any of them.
A story is a snapshot
The single most important thing to understand about a news site is that a story is a snapshot, not a final word. On a developing event, what we can confirm in the morning may be overtaken by noon. We update stories as we learn more, we label those updates, and the version you read is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time it carried that timestamp. It does not claim to be the last word.
That is why we ask readers to check the date and time on anything they are about to act on, and to go to the primary source for the current position. A forwarded screenshot of one of our headlines, cropped of its timestamp, is not a reliable account of where a story now stands. How we handle changes is in our corrections policy, and how we verify claims before publishing is in our fact-checking policy.
Business, markets and money
We cover companies, markets, currencies and the economy because they shape daily life everywhere. None of it is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Prices, rates and valuations in a story are accurate as of the moment described and move constantly afterwards, and a figure quoted in one currency may mean something different by the time it reaches a reader paid in another.
Before you commit money on the strength of something you read here, check the current numbers yourself and, where the stakes justify it, take advice from a licensed professional in your own jurisdiction. A company profile is reporting, not a rating. An explainer about a financial product is not a suggestion that you should use it.
Science, health and safety
Our science coverage describes studies, findings and developments for a general reader, not for your specific case. A single study is not settled science, and we try to say when a finding is early, contested, unreplicated or drawn from a small sample. Do not start, stop or change a treatment because of an article. Speak to a qualified clinician who can examine you and see your history.
In an emergency, or where an official warning is involved, treat the responsible authority as the source of truth rather than us. We report what those authorities say and link to them, but the instruction that matters is the one issued by the body with the power to issue it, in the place where you are.
Travel, auto and consumer coverage
Travel stories describe conditions, rules and prices as they stood when the story was written. Entry requirements, safety advisories, fares and timetables change without warning, and the version in force on the day you travel is the one issued by the relevant government or carrier, not the one in our archive. Check before you book and again before you leave.
Auto coverage describes vehicles, recalls, regulations and technology as reported by manufacturers, regulators and testers. It is not a purchase recommendation, a safety certification or a substitute for the recall notice issued for your specific vehicle. Where we describe a consumer product in any section, we describe it; we do not warrant it.
Sports, entertainment and gaming
Scores, fixtures, standings and transfer reports are accurate as of publication and can change through appeals, postponements and late decisions. A report that a deal is close is not a report that it is done, and we try to keep the two apart in the headline as well as the body. Nothing in our sports coverage is betting advice, and we do not publish tips.
Entertainment and gaming coverage includes reviews and previews that reflect a writer’s judgement at the time, clearly presented as such. Release dates, prices, availability and platform details are supplied by publishers and studios and can slip. Age ratings and content warnings quoted in a story come from the rating bodies, and parents should check the rating that applies where they live.
Links, advertising and third parties
We link to other sites in our reporting because a link to the source is part of honest journalism. We do not control those pages and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or what they do with information you give them. A link from MIND CRON is a pointer, not an endorsement.
The same applies to advertisements, which are selected by an advertising network and not by our editors. We carry no sponsored posts and sell no links, so nothing presented as an article on this site was paid for. What advertisers agree to when they buy space is on our advertise page. Quotes, data and documents from third parties are attributed to their source, and where we summarise a long report, the summary is ours and the authority is the original.
Using this page well
The practical rule is simple. Read us to understand what is happening. Act on a primary source, a current figure, or professional advice suited to you and to the place you are in. If you think a specific story has crossed from reporting into something that reads as advice, tell us, because that is a line we work to hold. Write to support@mindcron.com, and see our terms of service for the wider agreement that governs your use of the site.
