One address, read by the team
Everything sent to MIND CRON arrives at support@mindcron.com. It is the only address we publish and the only one that speaks for the site. Mail is read and sorted by members of the editorial team rather than by a help desk somewhere else, and there is no separate press office, no sales alias and no legal inbox to hunt for. On a team this size, extra aliases are only places for a message to go quietly unanswered.
We do not publish a telephone number or a postal address on this page. Postal details for formal legal service are confirmed in writing to anyone with a genuine need for them; ask by email and say why, and you will get them. Everything else is faster by mail in any case.
Subject lines that get you routed quickly
Put the purpose of your message at the front of the subject line and it will reach the right person on the first pass. The words we look for are CORRECTION, TIP, CONFIDENTIAL, PITCH, ADVERTISING, PRIVACY, DMCA and LEGAL. You do not need to use them, but a message that does is dealt with sooner than one we have to open to classify.
If you are writing about a specific story, paste the link rather than describing the headline. Ten sections publish here every day, and a link takes us to the exact page in seconds where a description can take an afternoon.
Corrections and complaints about a story
If we have published something that is factually wrong, write with CORRECTION in the subject, include the link, and quote the exact sentence you dispute. Tell us what you believe the correct fact is and, if you have it, where that comes from. Names, numbers, dates and places are what we most often get wrong and most want to hear about. Our corrections policy explains what happens once your message lands and how quickly.
Complaints about a headline you feel oversold the story, or about framing you think was unfair, go to the same inbox. Where the team allows it, we hand them to an editor who had no part in the piece. If you want a written reply rather than a quiet edit, say so and you will get one.
Tips, including confidential ones
Story tips are the most valuable mail we receive. Tell us what you saw, where and when, and send the document rather than a description of it if you have one. A specific claim we can check is worth more than a sweeping one we cannot, and a tip about any of our ten sections is welcome, not only the serious ones.
If passing something to us could put your job, your status or your safety at risk, protect yourself first. Write from a personal account on a device you control, and make CONFIDENTIAL the first word of your subject so the message is handled that way from the moment it arrives. We will reply to arrange a safer channel before you send anything sensitive. We do not identify sources to anyone, and that includes advertisers and lawyers.
Pitches, press releases and story ideas
Freelance pitches are read. Two or three paragraphs is enough: what the story is, who you can talk to, why it matters to a reader who is not in your country, and what it would take to report. We publish across world news, business, technology, science, sports, entertainment, lifestyle, travel, auto and gaming, so tell us which section you think it belongs in.
Press releases should be sent as plain text in the body of the email. We do not open unsolicited attachments, and a release that only exists as a file is a release we will not read. A release is a lead, not a story; we check it like anything else before anything is published.
Advertising enquiries
Advertising on MIND CRON is standard display advertising served through a network, and there is nothing else for sale: no sponsored posts, no paid links, no sponsorships. If you want to reach our readers, write with ADVERTISING in the subject and we will tell you honestly whether the site suits your campaign. The details of what is and is not on offer, and the rules that come with buying space, are on our advertise page.
Advertising mail is handled apart from the editorial desk that would cover your company. A message about a campaign never becomes a message about coverage, and a request for coverage sent through the advertising route will be declined.
Privacy, legal and copyright notices
Requests about your personal data, including access, deletion and opt-out requests, go to the same address with PRIVACY at the front of the subject. How we handle data and what rights you have are in our privacy policy. Copyright notices should carry DMCA in the subject and follow the format on our DMCA and copyright page, which lists what a valid notice needs to contain.
Formal legal correspondence should carry LEGAL in the subject. We acknowledge receipt and, where the matter needs a postal address or the details of the governing law, we confirm those in writing in the reply.
Response times, and things we never do
Corrections that could cause harm are dealt with the moment we read them. Other corrections are handled the same working day where possible. Everything else, we aim to answer within two working days. If a week passes with nothing back, resend, because mail does go astray and we would rather see a message twice than not at all.
We will never ask you to send a payment, a password or a document through a social media account claiming to be ours. If an account says it speaks for MIND CRON, check with this inbox first. The only address that speaks for the site is support@mindcron.com, and any other route should be treated with suspicion.
