The agreement

These terms govern your use of MIND CRON. By reading the site you accept them. Nobody enjoys a document like this, so we have kept it as short and as honest as we can, because terms written to trap a reader are not terms we would want to rely on. If a clause reads as one-sided, write to support@mindcron.com and ask about it. We will either explain it or change it.

Nothing here removes rights your local consumer law gives you and does not allow you to sign away. Where a clause conflicts with such a right, the right wins and the clause is read as narrowly as needed for the rest to stand.

Using what we publish

You may read, link to and share our work freely. Quoting a passage with credit and a link back is not only allowed but welcome; it is how journalism is meant to travel. Posting a headline and a short extract to social media, sending a story to a friend, or citing us in your own writing are all fine and need no permission.

Every story on this site is published across the same ten sections and under the same terms. There is no premium tier, no members-only content and no paywall, so the licence you get as a reader is the same whoever you are and wherever you are reading from.

What you may not do

You may not republish whole articles, scrape the site wholesale, mirror it, or pass our reporting off as your own or as someone else’s. Feeding our pages into a system that rebuilds a competing product is not fair use of a link; it is copying, and we treat it as such. You may not use the site to attack other readers, to distribute malware, or to interfere with the advertising that pays for the reporting.

If you want to license or syndicate our work, ask at support@mindcron.com and we will usually say yes on reasonable terms. The process for reporting infringement of your own material runs the other way and is on our DMCA and copyright page.

What we owe you, and what we cannot promise

We owe you honest effort. We report carefully, source what we publish, label opinion as opinion, and correct what we get wrong. What we cannot promise is that every fact on a fast-moving story is final at the instant you read it, that the site never goes down, or that a third party we link to has kept its own page accurate. News is a first draft, and a first draft is revised.

For that reason the site is provided as it is, and to the extent your law allows we give no warranties beyond those it requires. This is not a licence to be careless and we do not read it as one. It is an acknowledgement that a publication updating continuously across ten sections cannot guarantee the future, only its own good faith. What the content is and is not meant for is spelled out in our disclaimer.

Comments and anything you send us

Where the site lets you comment or otherwise submit material, you remain responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, infringing or designed to harass another reader, do not impersonate anyone, and do not present a submission as if it came from MIND CRON. By submitting something you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and archive it in connection with the site. You keep ownership of your own words.

We may remove a comment, close a thread or decline a submission without a hearing, because a comment section is a space we host, not a public square we are obliged to run. Persistent abuse can cost you access. Tips and letters sent by email are handled under our contact page and, where they are confidential, under the source protection described there.

Advertising and links off the site

The site carries display advertising served by a network, and it links out to other sites, both in reporting and in advertisements. A link is not an endorsement, and an advertisement is not a recommendation from the editorial team. We do not control third-party pages and are not responsible for what they contain, what they sell or what they do with information you give them once you leave us.

We carry no sponsored posts and no paid links, so nothing on this site that looks like an article was paid for by anyone. If you ever see an advertisement here that appears to be imitating one of our stories, tell us, because that is exactly what our rules forbid. The rules are on our advertise page.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, MIND CRON is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, from a decision you took on the strength of something you read here, or from the site being unavailable. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what the law requires. Because news changes quickly and is not professional advice, decisions with money, health, safety or legal stakes belong with a qualified adviser and the primary source, a point our disclaimer makes at greater length.

Nothing in this section limits liability for anything the law does not allow to be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of the place where MIND CRON is established. We do not name that jurisdiction on this page, because a public page is not the right instrument for legal identity; the governing law and the registered details of the operator are confirmed in writing to anyone who asks at support@mindcron.com with a genuine reason. Nothing in this clause drags you into a distant court for the act of reading a news site, and your local mandatory law still applies to you.

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, the date below moves, and for a material change a note sits at the top of the page for a while. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. We may also change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site, because a publication is a living thing rather than a fixed contract.

Disputes, and where to write

If a dispute arises, the honest first step is almost always an email. Most disagreements about our journalism are really questions of accuracy, and those are handled faster and better through our corrections policy than through any legal channel. Write to support@mindcron.com and give us the chance to put it right. If a clause here is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
