Liz and Tom Jackson are celebrating 30 years of running their family-owned opticians in Oakwood, Derby. The couple opened Oakwood Eyecare in 1994, after working as optometrists for other companies. They wanted to offer a more personal and professional service to their customers, and to create a friendly and welcoming environment.

Since then, Oakwood Eyecare has grown to become one of the most trusted and respected opticians in the area, serving generations of patients and families. Liz and Tom have also expanded their team, which now includes their son James, who joined the business as an optometrist in 2019, and their daughter Sophie, who works as a receptionist.
