Nubia has unveiled its latest tablet, the Nubia Pad 3D II, at the MWC 2024 expo in Barcelona. The tablet combines 5G and AI technologies to offer a glasses-free 3D viewing experience. The tablet also boasts a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a large 10,000mAh battery, and a 144Hz display.
The Nubia Pad 3D II is the world’s first 5G+AI naked-eye 3D tablet, according to the company. The tablet uses sophisticated AI processing and improved 3D display technology, along with unique liquid crystal lenses, to produce vivid and lifelike images. An AI-powered eye-tracking engine and an 86° wide viewing angle make the 3D experience smooth and accessible without the need for special glasses.
The tablet also features Neovision 3D Anytime technology, which uses AI algorithms to convert 2D content into 3D in real-time. This allows users to view a variety of content, including photos, videos, games, and streaming media, in 3D with ease. The tablet also supports enhanced content creation, offering a wider range for 3D shooting and providing a platform for producing high-quality 3D content. It includes features for AI 3D multi-screen collaboration, which allows for the streaming of a smartphone’s display to the tablet and supports sharing between devices that use Miracast for a better 3D viewing experience.
A Performance Powerhouse
The Nubia Pad 3D II is not only a 3D marvel, but also a performance powerhouse. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage of up to 512GB. It has a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The tablet also comes with quad speakers that offer DTS:X ultra immersive 3D sound effects, dual-mic noise reduction, and a 10000mAh battery with 66W fast charging for a comprehensive user experience. It also includes 5G technology for connectivity.
A Competitive Edge
The Nubia Pad 3D II is the second generation of Nubia’s 3D tablet, following the Nubia Pad 3D that was launched in 2023. The new tablet has achieved an 80% increase in 3D resolution and a 100% boost in 3D brightness, with the comprehensive optimization in 3D crosstalk, 3D color, and 3D power efficiency, thereby enhancing user’s 3D visual experience, the company claims.
The tablet also competes with other tablets in the market, such as the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, which also features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 120W charging, and a 144Hz display. However, the Nubia Pad 3D II has an edge over its rivals with its unique 3D capabilities and AI features.
Currently, the company has not revealed any details about the pricing or availability of this tablet.
