Half a Century of Progress: China and Malaysia Celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Ties with Innovation Summit

Marking a significant milestone, China and Malaysia have celebrated the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations with the successful conclusion of the 2nd China-Malaysia Science and Technology Innovation Summit. The event, held at MRANTI PARK in Kuala Lumpur, was a testament to the enduring partnership and shared commitment to advancing science and technology.

The summit, themed “Fostering Collaborative Innovation, Building the Future Together,” was not just a commemoration but a beacon for future cooperation. Guided by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Malaysia (MOSTI), the event was co-hosted by TusStar and MRANTI, with support from various international trade councils and economic corporations.

Over two days, the summit featured a plethora of activities, including keynote speeches, fireside chats on AI, Agritech, and Biomedical themes, and macro-economic discussions focused on China-ASEAN relations. The event also facilitated the signing of key projects, further cementing the collaborative spirit between the two nations.

The summit showcased cutting-edge technological solutions, with iFLYTEK providing exclusive translation services that exemplified the innovative spirit of the event. The iFLYREC Multilingual SI System allowed for real-time text conversion and English translation of speeches, enhancing communication among the diverse participants.

With over 2,000 attendees on-site and 30,000 online, the summit drew a global audience, reflecting its significance as a platform for cross-border exchange and cooperation in science and technology. The presence of over 100 VIP delegations underscored the event’s importance on the international stage.
