Actress Sharvari, one of Bollywood’s rising stars, is set to join Alia Bhatt in the highly anticipated spy-action film Alpha. Speaking at the IFP Festival in Mumbai, Sharvari expressed her admiration for Bhatt, revealing how surreal it feels to work with the actress she has admired for years.
A Longtime Fan Shares the Screen with Her Idol
Sharvari, who recently appeared in Munjya, Vedaa, and Maharaj, shared her excitement about collaborating with Alia. The young actress couldn’t hide her enthusiasm during a conversation at the festival, saying:
“That was a dream come true. Because I’ve been such a big fan of Alia’s ever since I’ve watched her movies. She’s incredible.”
The opportunity to co-star in Alpha came earlier in her career than Sharvari could have imagined. “I never thought that so early on in my career I’d get an opportunity to work with Alia and headline a project like Alpha with her. So, for me, it is a dream come true,” she added.
Alpha will feature both Sharvari and Alia Bhatt as super agents, promising high-octane action set in Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spy Universe. The film, directed by Shiv Rawail, is scheduled for release on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.
A Learning Experience and a Dream Run
Working alongside Alia Bhatt has been a transformative experience for Sharvari. “I get to learn from her every single day, and it’s like a master class,” she explained, reflecting on her time on set. “I’m always observing her, always trying to learn more from her. I think the journey has just started for us, and it’s going to be incredible.”
Sharvari shared her thoughts during an intimate chat with Kopal Khanna, co-founder of Tape A Tale, at the IFP Festival on October 13. The fourteenth season of the festival unfolded at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio, focusing on creativity and culture.
The young actress’s professional journey has been soaring lately. From recent box-office successes to her debut on the runway for Pankaj and Nidhi at Lakme Fashion Week, Sharvari is enjoying the spotlight. “Walking the ramp was another dream come true,” she mentioned about her fashion week experience.

On Dussehra, Sharvari turned reflective, taking to social media to post a heartfelt message about Alpha. “Today I’m praying for Alpha because on this day we worship all weapons, tools, instruments, books, pens & pencils as they are the means of fighting injustice, ignorance, and evil,” she wrote, emphasizing the film’s deeper themes.
Yash Raj Films made the official announcement about Alpha via Instagram, sharing a teaser poster with the tagline, “On Christmas 2025, #ALPHA will rise! Get ready for an action-packed holiday… 25th Dec, 2025.” The post featured the film’s lead stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, with promises of a thrilling addition to the YRF Spy Universe.
