Avatr, the electric vehicle (EV) brand backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, is set to debut its innovative Kunlun range extender technology with the launch of the Avatr 07 SUV in the fourth quarter of 2024. This new technology aims to address the common shortcomings of traditional range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs), such as power loss and noise issues. The Avatr 07’s range-extended model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, demonstrating the system’s impressive performance capabilities. Additionally, the Kunlun system includes a HE 1.5T turbocharged engine with electronic oil pump technology and active piston control, which reduces cabin noise to just 35.7 decibels during idle charging.
