Innovative West Midlands Recruitment Business Secures £50,000 Investment for Growth

Freedom Recruitment Capital, a Sutton Coldfield-based recruitment business, has secured £50,000 in funding through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II (MEIF II). The investment, facilitated by BCRS Business Loans, aims to fuel the company’s growth and extend its support to more recruitment entrepreneurs. This innovative business model allows experienced recruitment professionals to establish their own agencies without the typical barriers of traditional startups.

Supporting Recruitment Entrepreneurs with Risk-Free Business Models

Founded in 2022, Freedom Recruitment Capital’s mission is to empower recruitment consultants to launch their own agencies, offering a no-cost entry model. Unlike typical startups that require upfront investment and come with operational challenges, Freedom provides entrepreneurs with:

  • Advice, systems, and software to streamline operations
  • Back-office support and invoicing solutions over five years
  • No up-front fees or ongoing operational costs

With these services, Freedom has already helped 35 start-up agencies thrive and plans to expand further with the new investment.

Matt Hicks, Director of Freedom Recruitment Capital, said:
“Our recruitment investment model offers financial freedom and work-life balance to experienced recruiters, helping them create their own agencies without the risks that often hold people back.”

Scaling Operations with New Staff

The newly secured £50,000 loan will allow Freedom Recruitment Capital to employ two additional staff members: a client onboarding manager and a graphic designer. These hires are expected to bolster the company’s ability to onboard more businesses, aiming to support 50 new agencies each year.

Darren Isles, Director of Freedom Recruitment Capital, emphasized:
“The support we received from BCRS Business Loans was straightforward and quick. This investment will help us invest in our people, grow, and work with more businesses each year.”

The company’s unique approach to recruitment entrepreneurship provides stability and reduces risks for new agencies, making it easier for professionals to focus on growth without financial stress.

MEIF II: Backing Ambitious Businesses in the Midlands

The funding comes through Midlands Engine Investment Fund II, part of the British Business Bank’s initiative to foster regional business growth. Managed by BCRS Business Loans, the fund has already lent over £1 million to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the West Midlands scale up operations.

Stephen Deakin, Chief Executive of BCRS Business Loans, commented:
“Freedom Recruitment Capital is a unique business supporting recruitment agencies and boosting employment opportunities in the region.”

The MEIF II initiative aims to widen access to finance and lending options for growing businesses like Freedom Recruitment Capital.

Beth Bannister of the British Business Bank added:
“The Midlands Engine Investment Fund II plays a crucial role in supporting ambitious, growth-focused companies, and we are excited to see how Freedom Recruitment Capital will grow with this support.”
