Bắc Ninh Welcomes Two High-Tech Component Plants, Bolstering Economic Growth

Bắc Ninh Province, a key player in Vietnam’s industrial sector, is welcoming two cutting-edge manufacturing plants with a total investment of US$640 million. The projects promise to elevate the province’s already impressive economic performance and further solidify its status as an industrial powerhouse.

Major Investment in High-Tech Manufacturing

At the heart of the recent investment boom in Bắc Ninh, the Victory Giant Technology Việt Nam Plant has begun construction, marking a significant development for the province’s high-tech industry. Developed by Victory Giant Technology Co., Ltd., based in Guangdong, China, the plant will focus on manufacturing high-precision multilayer PCB circuit boards, HDI, FPC, and Rigid-Flex flexible circuit boards. These components play a vital role in various cutting-edge industries such as artificial intelligence, big data centers, green energy vehicles, and next-generation communication technology.

This US$520 million project will be implemented in two phases, with the first phase expected to bring the facility into operation soon. Local officials, including Chairman of the People’s Committee Vương Quốc Tuấn, expressed strong confidence in the success of the plant. Tuấn emphasized that the province’s economy is thriving, having achieved a 9.64 percent increase in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) this year alone. This surpasses the province’s original growth target and highlights its ongoing economic momentum.

The Impact on the Local Economy

Bắc Ninh’s strategic location and investment-friendly policies make it an attractive destination for global tech giants, and the new plants are expected to further strengthen this position. The Victory Giant Technology Việt Nam plant, for example, is set to contribute significantly to the local economy, especially in terms of job creation and technological advancements. It also aligns with the province’s broader goal of fostering innovation-driven growth.

The rapid expansion of high-tech industry presence in Bắc Ninh reflects a larger trend seen across Vietnam. With major players such as Samsung, Foxconn, and Pegatron already operating in the region, Bắc Ninh continues to be a hub for tech manufacturing, especially in electronic components. This new plant will add to the cluster of similar facilities, reinforcing the province’s reputation in the global supply chain.

Green Precision Manufacturing: A New Era in Electronics Production

In addition to Victory Giant, Bắc Ninh is also witnessing the construction of a high-tech plant by Green Precision Manufacturing Việt Nam Co., Ltd., another major Chinese enterprise. This project, with an investment of over US$120 million, specializes in producing precision structural components for consumer electronics. These components, including parts for mobile phones, tablets, and electronic payment devices, are increasingly in demand as global tech companies push for more sophisticated products.

The Green Precision Manufacturing plant is expected to significantly enhance the local production of precision metals and electronics parts. It’s an essential project for the electronic device industry, offering valuable components that will support the production of some of the most popular consumer electronics on the market.

For the province, the arrival of Green Precision is another boost to its growing reputation as a leader in precision manufacturing. The project was approved for investment by the Bắc Ninh Industrial Zones Authority in November 2024 and is seen as a vital addition to the province’s industrial infrastructure.

Strategic Location Boosts Investment

Bắc Ninh’s appeal to foreign investors is largely due to its strategic location. Proximity to Hanoi, Hải Phòng Port, and Nội Bài Airport provides logistical advantages that make the province a natural choice for industries relying on global supply chains. The developed industrial infrastructure, coupled with favorable investment policies, continues to attract large-scale projects from companies around the world.

In recent years, Bắc Ninh has become one of Vietnam’s most important industrial hubs, particularly for electronics manufacturing. The province now hosts 2,459 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of nearly US$31.3 billion. This level of investment speaks to the long-term confidence global companies have in Bắc Ninh’s growth potential.

Rising Opportunities for Local Workforce

These new projects aren’t just beneficial for the economy as a whole — they also open up substantial opportunities for the local workforce. As both the Victory Giant Technology and Green Precision Manufacturing plants ramp up production, they will create thousands of jobs for the province’s residents, including highly skilled positions in research, development, and manufacturing. This is expected to raise the standard of living for many, as local workers gain access to jobs in the burgeoning high-tech sector.

Additionally, the presence of such advanced manufacturing operations will lead to knowledge transfer, further elevating the capabilities of the local workforce. The influx of foreign investment is not just bringing capital but also expertise, training, and state-of-the-art technologies to the region.

Bắc Ninh: A Continued Growth Story

Bắc Ninh’s remarkable growth in recent years is no accident. The province has managed to cultivate an environment conducive to high-tech and industrial investment by focusing on infrastructure development, regulatory improvements, and fostering partnerships with global players. With projects like Victory Giant Technology and Green Precision Manufacturing in the pipeline, it’s clear that the province will remain a key contributor to Vietnam’s economic success.

As the local economy continues to grow at a steady pace, driven by industrial expansion and technological innovation, Bắc Ninh is solidifying its position as one of Southeast Asia’s most attractive locations for tech manufacturing. For those following the province’s economic trajectory, the best is yet to come.
